The City is expected to experience hot and humid weather for two days (Sunday and Monday) with temperatures possibly touching 36 degrees Celsius.
The Department of Meteorology's Early Warning Centre has also predicted that weather across most parts of the province will remain hot for next three days. However, due to humidity ratio of 24 to 26 per cent in the air, intensity of heat will not be felt abnormally. The Early Warning Centre suggests that sea breezes may not be fully active during morning and afternoon, but are anticipated to become active in the evening. Forecast for the city was clear and partly cloudy over a few places on Saturday. The maximum temperature recorded was 35.6 degrees Celsius, with air humidity of 43 per cent.
