Courtney Love claims Taylor Swift is "not interesting as an artist," degrades Beyonce’s latest album

Female artists dissed by Love also include Lana Del Rey and Madonna.

Singer-songwriter Courtney Love has insulted several famous women artists, including Taylor Swift, in a recent interview with The Standard.

“Taylor is not important,” she claimed. “She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist.”

About Madonna, the grunge artist added, “I don’t like her and she doesn’t like me.”

Later in the interview, Love also addressed Beyonce’s latest chart-topping country album, “Cowboy Carter,” which has been acclaimed for its celebration of Black women artists in a white-dominated genre.

While appreciating the importa

Love went on to insult Lana Del Rey’s music, claiming the singer hasn’t made any good music “since she covered a John Denver song.”

The “Mono” singer also had opinions on the general condition of women in the music industry today.

“It’s great that there are so many successful women in the music industry, but lots of them are becoming a cliché,” she stated.

“Now, every successful woman is cloned, so there is just too much music. They’re all the same. If you play something on Spotify, you get bombarded with a lot of stuff that’s exactly the same.”

Love’s comments have angered multiple fandoms online. Swifties in particular have taken to X to respond to her statements.

Some fans also brought up controversial racist comments Love has made in concert, including an alleged statement implying that African-Americans cannot be rock music fans.
