People flock to Safari Park, zoos

New arrivals at zoos, horseback riding, shooting range and zip-lining at Safari Park draw thousands

During the extended Eidul Fitr holidays from Wednesday to Sunday, Karachiites flocked to Karachi Zoo, Safari Park, and Landhi Korangi Zoo, indulging in the array of entertainment options provided by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).

The festive spirit was palpable as visitors commended the efforts to enhance facilities at these iconic spots, reflecting Karachi's tradition of celebrating Eid and other festivals with joyous outings that create cherished memories.

Karachi Zoo remained accessible throughout the Eid break and its administration had meticulously prepared to welcome the throngs of visitors. The addition of play areas and recreational amenities added to the zoo's allure, drawing thousands of families over the celebration period. New arrivals, including two pairs of pumas, captivated the crowd, while the presence of city wardens and police ensured a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

Similarly, Safari Park saw a surge in attendance owing to attractions such as inner roads, restaurants, and thrilling activities like horse riding, zip-lining, and a shooting range.

The debut of Dino Park with its towering dinosaur sculptures and simulated sounds further enriched the park's offerings, catering to diverse interests and ages. The inclusive approach, allowing both men and women to partake in activities like marksmanship and horseback riding, marked a departure from past exclusivity, aligning with KMC's commitment to accessible leisure opportunities.

Landhi-Korangi Zoo

Meanwhile, Landh- Korangi Zoo also witnessed a surge in visitors, particularly from the local community, who revelled in the chance to interact with animals, take selfies, and enjoy refreshments from various stalls. The municipality's efforts to introduce new species to the zoo were met with enthusiasm, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in enhancing public enjoyment and engagement with wildlife.

As the city continues to evolve, initiatives like these not only contribute to its cultural vibrancy but also foster a sense of community and inclusivity, ensuring that everyone can partake in the joyous festivities that define Karachi's spirit.
