South Africa thrash West Indies to win series
South Africa completed a 2-0 Test series win over host West Indies as they won the third and final Test at Kensington Oval by seven wickets after a hopeless batting performance by the hosts left them needing only 47 to win.
West Indies, trailing by 115, could only manage 161 in their second innings riding on Shivnarine Chanderpaul’s valiant, unbeaten 71 that took his team to respectability.
None of the other batsmen provided any resistance as the hosts were bundled out with Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel and Johan Botha capturing three wickets each.
In reply, Hashim Amla cracked three fours as the tourists raced to the series-win in only nine overs.
