The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food, Zahir Shah Toru has said that peace and education are crucial for progress and development. Addressing an event organized by the ‘Gujjar Welfare Foundation’ in district Mardan on Sunday, Toru highlighted that without peace and education in a region, province, or country, progress remains merely a dream.

Referring to historical precedents, Toru emphasized that nations that have advanced prioritized peace as a precursor to empowering their youth through education. He further revealed the vision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, highlighting his steadfast advocacy for peace and education as the cornerstones of progress.

“Peace and education rank high among the priorities of the PTI-led government in the province,” stated Toru. Despite resource constraints, he affirmed that the government is actively implementing measures to foster peace, prosperity, and education effectively.

Speaking about the resilience of the Gujjar community, Toru praised their hard work and determination. He emphasized that the Gujjar nation has always played a significant role in maintaining peace and contributing to Pakistan’s development.
