Strict measures in place against one-wheeling, unauthorised parking
The city traffic police chief has ordered strict measures against individuals engaged in one-wheeling and other disruptive activities on the streets.
As per the details, the traffic police have made special arrangements to maintain peace and uninterrupted flow of traffic specially during Eid holidays.
IG Traffic Ahmed Nawaz stated that traffic police officers have been stationed at various locations including beaches, highways, Clifton, Zoo, Mazar-e-Quaid, PAF Museum, and other entertainment spots to ensure smooth traffic flow. He emphasised that it is the duty of the traffic police to facilitate the citizens, and called for all officials to actively participate in implementing these measures.
The DIG has emphasised the importance of traffic police in ensuring optimal convenience for the public during Eid festivities at entertainment venues. Visitors heading to picnic points are urged to adhere strictly to lane discipline while driving. It is advised that citizens park their vehicles only in assigned parking lots and refrain from parking on sidewalks or in unauthorised areas. DIG Traffic has stated that any instances of unauthorised parking vehicle will be towed away and a fine will be imposed. Strict legal actions will be initiated against those participating in one-wheeling and other illicit behaviours, he added.
