Prince William makes first social media post since Kate Middleton’s cancer reveal

In true British spirit, it was football that finally led him to break his silence!

Breaking his social media hiatus since his wife's cancer diagnosis, the Prince of Wales has made a return on the couple's joint Instagram account.

In an Instagram story posted on April 10th, Prince William shared a touching message to footballer Rachel Daly as she announced her retirement from the England squad.

The message read, “Thank you for so many unforgettable performances with @Lionesses, @racheldaly3. Plenty more goals for Villa now!”

The Prince signed off the message with his signature “W,” marking the first personal message on social media by the couple since Kate publicly disclosed her cancer diagnosis in a video posted to Instagram.

The announcement, following a social media frenzy surrounding Kate’s absence from public life, sparked further controversy with theories still brimming about the use of AI in Kate’s pictures and videos.

However, the Princess continues to win the hearts of Britons. The Independent UK reveals that Kate has become “Britain’s favorite royal,” further citing a survey showing that 76 percent of UK residents have a “positive” view of Kate.
