Angelina Jolie: Brad Pitt abused the children as well

The ‘Fight Club’ actor allegedly tried to get his ex-wife to sign an NDA to stop her from speaking on his abuse.

Angelina Jolie has launched fresh allegations of abuse against ex-husband Brad Pitt saying that abuse was common prior to their 2016 divorce.

On Thursday, the 'Maleficent' actress filed a motion with the Los Angeles Superior Court stating that Brad Pitt prevented her from selling her winery shares unless she signed a NDA to keep her silent.

“Pitt’s history of physical abuse of Jolie started well before the family’s September 2016 plane trip” Jolie's legal team claimed.

In a shocking revelation, the document also added that the flight “marked the first time he turned his physical abuse on the children as well.”

“Jolie then immediately left him,” the document added.

Jolie's lawyers claim Pitt wanted her silenced after she submitted evidence for their child custody dispute.

After discovering Angelina’s plan to sell her share of their winery, Pitt insisted on an NDA. Without signing it, Jolie couldn't proceed with the sale, the team claimed.

Jolie’s lawyers also highlighted that she didn't press charges against her 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' co-star.

She thought Pitt should take responsibility and let the family “recover from the post-traumatic stress he caused.”

Jolie's team does not go into further detail about the alleged prior abuse.

Pitt’s representative said in a statement to CNN that “Brad has accepted responsibility for what he did but will not for things he didn’t do.”

In 2022, Brad sued Angelina for selling her half of the winery and going against an agreement he said they'd made about not selling without getting approval from the other.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016. A joint custody arrangement was established in 2021.

The pair share kids Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 17, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 15.
