Netflix's live-action ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ sees another showrunner shakeup. Albert Kim departs after laying the groundwork for season one.
Meanwhile, Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani, previously hired by Kim, will take over as showrunners for the previously announced second and third seasons.

Sources reveal Kim's intention was establishing the series foundation. Given its long development cycle, Kim was ready for new projects. He'll remain an executive producer on Avatar: The Last Airbender and is pursuing a deal with Disney's 20th Television. Kim also joins the Percy Jackson Disney+ series as an executive producer.

Boylan's credits include notable shows like Leverage and The Punisher. Raisani directed and provided VFX supervision for season one. Despite a mixed critical response to Avatar: The Last Airbender's debut season, Netflix quickly renewed it for two more seasons, aiming to conclude the adaptation.
