Following the immense success of Dune: Part Two, production company Legendary has confirmed Denis Villeneuve will direct the third Dune film.

This continues the story of Paul Atreides and his galactic conquest. Villeneuve previously told Empire, "I had already put words on paper" regarding the Dune franchise's future.

While there's no Dune 3 production timeline yet, Legendary plans for it to premiere before Villeneuve's next project: adapting Annie Jacobsen's Pulitzer-nominated Nuclear War: A Scenario. This nonfiction book explores potential nuclear conflict outcomes. Villeneuve's upcoming years promise to be packed, leaving audiences eagerly anticipating the awe-inspiring films to come.

Villeneuve's unique vision and storytelling prowess guarantee both Dune 3 and Nuclear War: A Scenario will be cinematic experiences unlike any other. Fans of thought-provoking sci-fi and Villeneuve's filmmaking have much to look forward to.

Dune: Part Two is currently playing in theaters.
