KARACHI:

Sindh Education Minister, Syed Sardar Shah, emphasised the need for security institutions to investigate the source of weapons used by criminals including the kutcha area dacoits.

Addressing the Senate elections at the Sindh Assembly, Shah announced that the home minister would oversee the operation against dacoits personally. He also voiced concerns regarding reports about use of drug in elite private schools, emphasising that the drug menace affects society as a whole and necessitates an immediate crackdown and a comprehensive eradication plan.

Meanwhile, PPP leader Imtiaz Sheikh stated that the senator elected from Sindh would advocate for the province in the upper house.

Describing the day as significant for parliamentary politics, Sheikh noted PPP's clear majority in the Sindh Assembly.

He asserted that there would be no compromise on law and order, emphasising that no criminal could challenge the state or consider themselves untouchable.
