NAWABSHAH:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-backed independent candidate Ghulam Mustafa Rind has announced moving the court to challenge the unopposed victory of Aseefa Bhutto Zardari.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Nawabshah Press Club on Saturday, PTI president Nawabshah division, Inayat Ali Rind, along with Akhtar Tenio and PTI-supported independent candidate Ghulam Mustafa Rind, disclosed that following the rejection of Rind's nomination papers for NA-207 to contest against Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, they sought recourse from the election tribunal. The tribunal granted a one-day extension to address the objections and subsequently restored the nomination papers.

Ghulam Mustafa Rind recounted an alleged abduction incident, claiming he was forcibly kidnapped from the Skarand area while returning from Hyderabad.

He said that he was set free by the abductors after two days, following the announcement of Aseefa’s uncontested nomination.

Rind alleged that the returning officer displayed complete partiality and unjustly rejected the forms based on baseless objections. He announced that after consultations with PTI leadership and legal experts, he will challenge Aseefa Zardari's uncontested success.
