Prince Harry's message to Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly met with cold shoulder

Royal expert Tom Quinn suggests lingering tensions between Prince Harry and the royal family prevent a reconciliation.

Prince Harry's message of support to Prince William and Princess Kate following her cancer diagnosis received a frosty reception, according to royal expert Tom Quinn.

Quinn told The Mirror that William was less than receptive, triggered by memories of the Sussexes' actions since their departure from royal duties.

"William, who is still hurt by everything Harry has said in the past, has responded, but the response is very much engineered by the palace and it’s hardly the kind of warm, informal response you would expect from one brother to another," Quinn said.

The royal expert also noted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not suggest reconciliation nor a UK visit. "There is just too much ill-feeling for that," he explained.

Despite their public statement of support following Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis announcement, sources indicate the Sussexes have also reached out privately to the Prince and Princess of Wales.
