Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s friend Chris Bouzy 'Royal Family lied about Kate Middleton’s cancer'
Christopher Bouzy, a friend of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, has accused the palace of lying about Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis.
Rumours surrounding the Princess of Wales' extended absence from public view circulated prior to her diagnosis announcement via video message.
"The palace lied, and the British press happily helped them lie. The countess 'conspiracy theory' headlines, while knowing a lot of what was being said was true. This is really some North Korea/Trumpian type of propaganda," Bouzy, a tech entrepreneur, wrote on social media.
Like most things online, Bouzy's comments were met with a mixed reaction.
Many social media users expressed opposing views to those shared by Bouzy.
One user wrote, "Hmm the Palace lied....nahhh you just couldn't keep your nasty little noses out of things, and I'm not even a royalist. She is a mother to young children, a wife, a daughter, a sister. She is a damned human being who should not be hounded at the darkest time in her life."
Another defended the Palace, stating they respected Kate's privacy and right to disclose her medical information on her own terms. "They did not lie… She had surgery. They said if anything else significant came up they would update. It did and they updated it.”
Some users also expressed concern over the impact on Kate:
"Have you not got the grace to even stop with your venom and cheap vibes even now. It does say an awful lot about you."
"You are despicable. Comparing a cancer-stricken mother … to Trump and N. Korea is beyond vile."
Meanwhile not everyone was disagreeing with Bouzy’s comments, there were many who sided with his stance.
One social media user said: “Public relations gone awry. Sometimes it’s better to listen to your instincts and go out with the truth as soon as possible in an authentic way rather than spin a whole lot of energy trying to hide it. PR101.”
Another user tweeted: “The Royal institution got caught bang to rights lying what we now know has photoget, and then there was the so called video of supposedly W&K, and when the Royal institution could see people were not buying it about the Videoclip, so now they are going on defence about the lie.”
