He always treated women with respect: Talat Hussain's daughter on veteran star, shares health update

Prayers from well-wishers seem to be working

Actor and educationist Tazeen Hussain recently appeared as a guest on Good Morning Pakistan, where she offered heartfelt insights into her cherished relationship with her father, the legendary Talat Hussain. In a candid conversation, Tazeen shared poignant anecdotes about her father's role in their family and provided updates on his current medical condition.

Talat Hussain, celebrated for his illustrious career in the entertainment industry, is not only an icon in the world of acting but also a revered figure in Pakistani households. Tazeen fondly reminisced about her father's gentle demeanour. She revealed that she and her siblings would often seek solace in their father's comforting presence.

Reflecting on his profound influence, Tazeen emphasised his cultured upbringing and his dedication to imparting valuable lessons to his children. She shared, "Abba was an artistic man, and an open-minded one, as artists usually are. He never stopped us from doing what we wanted to. We were scared of Amma, not Abba. He never scolded us. He tended to our injuries. He would lovingly feed us medicines when we didn't want to have them." Razeen added, "We got a lot of love from Abba." She also stated, "With my father, I grew as a girl and as a woman. There was never any difference between a boy or a girl in our home. We were all equal. My father always treated women with respect."

However, amidst fond memories, Tazeen shed light on her father's current health struggles. "He has aged now," began Tazeen. "With age, the few illnesses that accompany, Abba has those. He has dementia, where your memory starts deteriorating." Though he still recognises her, Tazeen revealed, "He recognises us, it's not that bad. Some days are slower, where recalling people is a little more difficult. On other days, he can recognise them. Some days, he does not prefer a lot of mental stimulation. Otherwise, he walks, roams around, wants to go for a drive, he eats and drinks, thanks to God."

As per Tazeen, the revered figure developed a chest infection, leading to his hospitalisation. "Recently, his health worsened," she shared. "He had a chest infection due to which he was hospitalised. At that time, prayers from his fans and well-wishers worked like a miracle. He came back home on his feet from the hospital."

Though the icon continues to navigate through his health challenges, Tazeen reassured fans that he is currently in stable condition. She acknowledged that there are days when he experiences slower moments, but the resilience and strength he embodies continue to inspire hope and optimism.
