Oath Taking: Three LHC judges confirmed
Justice Sagheer Ahmad Qadri, Justice Khwaja Imtiaz Ahmad and Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan.
LAHORE:
Three judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC) took oath on Monday at a ceremony at the LHC. Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry administered the oath to Justice Sagheer Ahmad Qadri, Justice Khwaja Imtiaz Ahmad and Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan. Justice Qadri and Justice Ahmad were appointed as ad-hoc judges for one year on September 15, 2009. Later they were granted extension in their ad-hoc period. Justice Khan was appointed as an ad-hoc judge on February 19, 2010. The three judges were confirmed by President Asif Ali Zardari on August 24. With their confirmation the number of confirmed judges at the LHC is now 21. There are now 16 ad-hoc judges at LHC.
