April 2 deadline for by-polls postal ballots

ISLAMABAD:

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the commencement of the by-election process for 23 constituencies across the provincial assemblies as well as the National Assembly.

Voters residing in the 23 designated constituencies have been granted the opportunity to apply for postal ballots, with the deadline set for April 2.

The postal ballot provision extends to several categories of individuals, including government officials and employees, members of the armed forces along with their families, and special persons.

Moreover, the facility is also extended to prisoners, ensuring their participation in the electoral process.
