Beetlejuice 2 trailer released, Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder return for Tim Burton sequel
Calling all goth teens and bio-exorcist enthusiasts! It's official: Beetlejuice is back after a 36-year hiatus.
Tim Burton directs Michael Keaton once again, as the latter reprises his iconic role in the sequel to the 1988 cult classic.
Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara also return alongside newcomer Jenna Ortega as Astrid, daughter of Lydia (played by Winona Ryder),
Not much is known about the plot, except that the sequel picks up decades later with a death in the family.
"That's all I will say," Burton recently told Entertainment Weekly in an interview."
But what can be expected is Burton's signature dark humor and potentially some Hawaiian vibes (a scrapped sequel concept from the 90s).
