Power Play: Protest against 4-day power outage
Residents from the Model Town area have protested against the Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) due to power cuts
RAHIM YAR KHAN:
Residents from the Model Town area have protested against the Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) due to power cuts. According to the residents, there has been no power in the residential colony for over four days. Residents said that a transformer exploded three days ago and Mepco officials did not visit the area to repair power lines despite repeated calls. “The transformer burned again after 30 minutes and the Mepco team made us wait another day before showing up,” said a resident Hashim Zafar.
