Capital bandits on the prowl

Robbers and thieves took away cash, mobile phones, motorcycles, cars and other valuables in Islamabad

Robbers and thieves took away cash, gold jewellery, mobile phones, motorcycles, cars and other valuables in several hits in the capital on Friday. 

Mahmood Ahmed reported to the Secretariat police that some street criminals intercepted his car and deprived him of 1100 Saudi Riyals. Muhammad Khan told the Margalla police that his motorcycle (CHK-1933) was stolen by unknown suspects.

Saqib Asif Malik told the Karachi Company police that one Sarfaraz Qureshi and his accomplices took away his furniture, a desktop computer and a laptop. Some robbers approached Muhammad Usman and deprived him of a mobile phone and 120 British Pounds.

A group of robbers including women stormed into the house of Sardar Tahir Mehmood in Ramna police limits and made off with Rs125,000 cash, gold ornaments and other valuables. Bilqis Manzoor told the Ramna police that his sports bicycle was taken away from the house.

Some thieves broke into the house of Munib Shahid in Golra police limits and made off with Rs16,000 and goods including a watch. Hanifullah told the Simbal police that his mobile phone, gold ornaments and other items were stolen from his house.

Thieves burgled into the property of Amreez Akhtar in Sing Jani police precincts and took away an LCD worth Rs130,000. Sheikh Khatoon told the Sabzi Mandi that some robbers snatched gold ornaments from her at gunpoint.

Farhan Ullah told the Noon police that his Rs600,000 was stolen, while Naveed told the Koral police that his solar bicycle and a mobile phone were taken away. Some people stole Rs620,000 from Akhlaq Ahmed in Hamak police limits. Kasim Ali Bhatti told the Loh Bhir police that 1,500 US dollars and Rs15,000 were stolen, while Malik Qamar told the Shahzad Town police that some robbers deprived him of Rs10,000.

Mir Wais Khan's car (AEF-463) was stolen from Shalimar police limits, Mujibur Rehman's car (UW-977) from Karachi Company police precincts, Mohammad Rehan's motorcycle (CEN-981) from Abpara police jurisdiction, Mohammad Abdullah's motorcycle from Margalla police limits, and Roshan Ali’s motorcycle (RIW-4001) was taken away from Karachi Company police limits.

Similarly, thieves took away the motorcycle (RIM-7275) of Syed Muhammad Ali Kazmi from Sambal police limits, the applied for motorcycle of Rubash from I/9 police jurisdiction, Samar Mazhar's motorcycle (ATR-3024) from Loh Bhir police area, Mohammad Haseeb's motorcycle (LEP-3575) from Shehzad Town police precincts, and Jameel Ahmad's motorcycle (JGC-133) from Shehzad Town police limits.

Police have registered cases with no arrests and recoveries so far.
