Infected with death

This aggression over Gaza, which has claimed more than 30,000 lives

March 05, 2024

Gaza is imploding and a silent death is all around. As if Israeli bombardment and cruelty was not enough, Gazans are now a victim of biological deterioration. It is roughly estimated that more than a million people, almost half the entire population of Gaza, is impacted with several infectious diseases, and there is no remedy to say the least. This is simply because of the apathy and criminal silence of the world community which did nothing but verbal condemnation of a genocide in the making at the hands of the Zionist state. Thus, humanitarian and health catastrophe is now dwarfing, and has engulfed the entire conclave, making it a matter of time before a hapless nation is exterminated. As Gaza is devoid of any kind of clinical assistance with hospitals bombed, and ambulances stranded as junk vehicles, it won’t be a surprise if the death toll climbs in leaps and bounds.

This aggression over Gaza, which has claimed more than 30,000 lives, is no more about Israel retaliating to an October 7 misadventure of Hamas. The rolling of tanks in Ramallah and West Bank, after completely decimating Gaza, is a war of attrition. Coupled with this the compromised mosaic of diplomacy has pushed Palestinians to the brink, and it would be a surprise if they live on to tell their tale. It is now documented that Israeli forces are running armoured tanks over non-combatant civilians, and the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor is a witness to it. Likewise, the dilemma that mothers are skipping their meals to help feed their wards makes a shame of the civilised world. Last but not least are the shadows of famine and a sprawling epidemic, leaving behind everything in tatters.

Yet, the United States and its allies are obsessed with the fiction of talking it out to attain a solution. It is hypocritical that President Biden and his Secretary of State Anthony Blinken are mulling ensuring food supplies to a nation that is breathing its last, and no effort is being made to bring the aggression to an end.
