IG FC visits residence of martyred SP in Mardan

In a poignant gesture following the martyrdom of Superintendent of Police (SP) Ijaz Khan in an encounter with terrorists, Inspector General Frontier Corps Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (North), Major General Noor Wali Khan, visited the bereaved family on the special orders of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, the military said in a statement.

Major General Khan paid his respects to the fallen hero, stating, "SP Ijaz Khan was a brave and patriotic police officer, actively combating terrorism and making the ultimate sacrifice to rid our motherland of this scourge."

Moreover, in a pledge of support, Major General Khan announced that the Pakistan Army would ensure the education of SP Ijaz Khan's daughters, alongside presenting a cheque of five million rupees to the grieving family.

Subsequently, Major General Noor Wali Khan extended his condolences to the Regional Police Office Mardan, where he met with officers and soldiers who participated in the operation against terrorists on February 27.

Praising the dedication and sacrifice of the police personnel and soldiers, Major General Khan underscored the longstanding collaboration between the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police and the Pakistan Army in the fight against terrorism. "Thanks to their unwavering commitment, peace has been restored in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa," he affirmed.

Defiant in the face of adversity, Major General Khan reiterated that the nefarious intentions of terrorists would not dampen the resolve of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police.
