Momin Saqib's discussion about death being reality of life irks Mathira

The social media star has drawn flak for filming in a graveyard to highlight the futility of fame and wealth

Pakistani model and actor Mathira has taken a firm stance against actor and host Momin Saqib's recent Instagram Stories, deeming them as "stupid" and raising concerns about their potential impact on individuals dealing with mental health struggles.

In an IG reply, Mathira expressed her disapproval, stating, "I'm sorry but this is so stupid because there are so many people these days [who are] going through tough times, are suicidal and struggling with their mental health. Such videos sometimes break a person more than they make them. Everyone knows we shall all taste death. We need to teach people how they can walk through this rough life instead of just highlighting death."

Mathira's comments reflect a concern for the well-being of individuals who may be grappling with various challenges, emphasising the need for sensitivity in content creation, particularly during a time when many are facing hardships.

Contrastingly, in Momin's Instagram Stories, he embarked on a pensive commentary while wandering through a graveyard, shedding light on the inevitability of death. His thoughts resonated with a stark perspective, stating, "This is tomorrow. This is the future. This is the only reality, the only certainty in life. This is the future for all of us.”

He furthered on, “No matter what you do, how much money you make, how famous you get, this is the end. All your pride, any failure, any embarrassment in life, a moment of happiness, all of that will end when death comes."

While Momin aimed to provide a contemplative reflection on the universal aspect of mortality, Mathira's response underscores the importance of considering the emotional well-being of the audience, especially in the current socio-emotional landscape. The incident sparks a broader conversation on the responsibility of influencers and content creators to balance thought-provoking content with sensitivity to the diverse experiences of their audience.
