Vawda sees clash, bloodshed with Gandapur as K-P chief minister

Says PML-N is having its last chance at power politics

ISLAMABAD:

Former federal minister Faisal Vawda on Tuesday expressed concerns regarding the nomination of Ali Amin Gandapur as chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that the decision may prove unfavorable for PTI and Pakistan.

Vawda said, “The nomination of Gandapur is sad, PTI has again hinted at confrontation, fight, and quarrels in the future.”

The former PTI leader said that if Gandapur took charge as the CM, there would be two groups of police; one to protect Gandapur and the other to see him as wanted.

He added “The rift will lead to clash and bloodshed. Democracy, Pakistan, and PTI will suffer because of this.”

“It would be good if PTI would have nominated Ali Muhammad Khan for the premiership,“ added Vawda.

"I have known Imran Khan for 15 years, Imran Khan is PTI and PTI is Imran Khan. Omar Ayub is a good person, but we must not forget the past," he added.

Taking a jibe at PTI, Vawda mentioned that the PTI has now approached Maulana Fazlur Rehman after criticizing him for years and blamed Imran's party for not doing politics of principles.

Vawda also said that it will be miraculous if the upcoming government lasts even two years, adding that PML-N is having its last term of power politics and will become MQM-2 of Punjab.
