Chief Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi of the Sindh High Court (SHC) has inaugurated a video link system in the jail in a significant development in the judicial history of Sindh to address the issue of prisoners appearing in court.
The video link system has been introduced as part of the ongoing reforms in the judicial system, according to the official announcement of the SHC. Justice Phulpoto was also present at the ceremony.
With this new system, prisoners will now be able to appear in court through a video link from jails. This innovative approach is expected to expedite case proceedings and contribute to the swift disposal of cases.

The implementation of the video link system will not only save transportation costs but also address security concerns associated with transporting prisoners from jails to courts. This technology will be extended across the province to facilitate the appearance of prisoners, facing various cases, through video link.
A one-window system has been introduced to streamline the process of obtaining certified copies of court decisions. This facility is designed to benefit lawyers and complainants, providing them with a more efficient and convenient process. Collaborative efforts with the Board of Revenue are underway to ensure a quick and speedy verification of property documents submitted as security. This effort aims to eliminate hurdles in the verification process for lawyers and complainants.
