The Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) employees are  planning to stop the sewage system on Wednesday, January 31, in protest against the prolonged  non-payment of salaries and pensions.  During a meeting on Sunday, HDA Labour Union Chairman  Khalid Ansari, President Sajid  Taqi, and CBA Union General  Secretary Insaf Ali Lashari expressed concern over the dire   financial situation faced by the employees.

Tragically, some workers have reportedly died duibuted to the   stress and depression among the workforce.  It was emphasized during the meeting that the prevailing administration of the HDA has failed to address the salary and   pension issues, exacerbating the suffering of its employees. The HDA labour union issued  a warning, stating that if the  salaries and pensions are not   promptly paid, they reserve the   right to shut down the entire  sewage system in the Hyderabad district on Wednesday,  January 31. The entire responsibility for the outcome of the closure will be placed on the HDA   administration. In a plea to the caretaker Sindh government, the union urged the immediate release of funds to the HDA to facilitate the prompt pay- ment of salaries and pensions
