The Islamabad Capital Police launched a comprehensive crackdown in the Tarnol and Khanna Pul areas of the federal capital to curb illegal encroachments and enhance traffic flow.
According to sources, following the special directives of the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, the capital launched a comprehensive crackdown on illegal encroachments across in Tarnol and Khanna Pul area.

Under the supervision of the DPO Saddar, police teams carried out operations in the Tarnol area against illegal roadblocks and also removed unauthorised structures and possessions. The accused involved in collecting extortion from roadside vendors, cart pullers, fruit shop owners, and hotels were also arrested and cases were registered against them at Tarnol police station.
Similarly, in the Khanna Pul area, police teams under the supervision of DPO Sawan, carried out operations to remove illegal encroachments, roadblocks, and unauthorised structures to alleviate traffic congestion.
ICCPO Dr Akbar commended said the purpose of removing encroachments from the road is to improve the traffic flow.
