The Murree administration has said its grand operation against illegal constructions was underway across the scenic district with several structures demolished and sealed due to violation government ban.

According to a spokesperson, the drive continues in various areas including Kuldana, Jhika Gali, Cart Road, New Murree Road, and Express Highway. Previously, the administration had demolished several illegal constructions in different areas, he said. The administration also confiscated the construction materials and stopped the construction of many buildings. It also sealed under-construction structures during the drive.

The spokesperson said the Murree administration on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi was taking strict action against illegal constructions.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR) Murree Captain (r) Qasim Ijaz on Sunday said that the operation against rule violators under his supervision was being conducted daily.

The ADCR Murree said that no one would be allowed to indulge in illegal construction activities.
