PPP-GDA electoral showdown expected in Sanghar

GDA is experiencing success in its election campaign, attracting local support

SANGHAR:

Jam Nawaz Ali tehsil of Sanghar District, encompassing NA-209 (Sanghar 1) and PS-42 (Sanghar 3) constituencies, is currently a battleground for a closely contested election between the candidates of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA). Both parties are engaged in frenzied election campaigns, each asserting their victory during the respective campaigns.

In NA-209, former federal minister Shazia Marri of the PPP is preparing for a showdown with GDA's former MNA Muhammad Khan Junejo. Similarly, for PS-42, PPP has fielded Jam Shabbir Ali Khan against GDA's former tehsil nazim Jam Nafees Ali Khan.

The entry of Muhammad Khan Junejo has injected new life into the political structure of GDA in Sanghar, as he has emerged as a formidable candidate for the party. Candidates from both parties have intensified their efforts in both urban and rural areas of the constituency, garnering support from influential local figures who will be polling votes along with their communities.

Independent candidate Afsar Deen Talpur for NA-209 and Jawad Afsar Talpur, contesting for PS-42, have publicly announced their support for PPP candidates. Similarly, GDA is experiencing success in its election campaign, attracting local support.
