Three students win at Agri-Tech Expo
Students from various schools and colleges in Pakistan showcased their creativity, talent, and cultural diversity on the second day of the first National Agri-Tech Expo at the University of Haripur.
The event featured captivating performances including a cultural performance by the talented students of Grandeur Genesis School System, Haripur in which students performed on Rabab and Tabla. Similarly, students of the Pasban Public School, Haripur showcased mesmerising Gilgiti cultural dances and added to the cultural diversity of the event. The event also resonated with the soulful Pashto melodies, contributing to the rich musical heritage of the region.

In the Agri-Tech idea competition, a total of 28 students got the opportunity to pitch their innovative ideas to an esteemed panel of judges. The judges included Principal Scientific Officer Dr Muhammad Israr, Pakistan Science Foundation, Qasid Ahmed, GM Mashmoom Industries Hatar, and Pak-Austria University Head Technology Park Dr Bilal Mirza.
Out of 28 brilliant ideas, three won the competition. Afterward, winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs100,000 while other participants received certificates of participation. The expo attracted massive attention, attracting knowledge seekers from all corners of Pakistan.
On the occasion, ORIC Director Dr Muhammad Jahangir and Haripur University Vice-Chancellor Dr Shafiqur Rehman also emphasised the importance of innovation in agriculture.
