Woman among three end live on domestic issues

Police said that the cause of death will be ascertained after the post-mortem

KARACHI:

A businessman has allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in a warehouse of cosmetics on the fourth floor of a building in Bolton Market.

After being informed, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to Civil Hospital.

SHO at Meethadar police station, Waqar Tanoli, said that initial investigation revealed that the deceased, 40-year-old Fayaz, was upset over the loss in his cosmetics business for a few days and ended his life over this.

The police have found a pistol and a bullet shell from the crime scene.

In a separate incident, a woman, Parveen, 45, was found dead with a rope around her neck inside her house in Manzoor Colony.

Her body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Police said that the cause of death will ascertained after the post-mortem.

However, the deceased's husband, Jameel told police that the woman had committed suicide as she was going through mental health issues following the passing of her 16-year-old daughter a year ago.

The body of the deceased woman was handed over to her family after legal formalities.

On Thursday, a man allegedly shot himself over an altercation with his wife inside his house in Liaquatabad area. The victim, Farukh, 45, was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in a critical condition.
