Judge allows petitioner to file law suit against police
An additional district and sessions judge for District South has authorised the petitioner to initiate legal proceedings against police personnel. This decision comes in response to an inquiry report submitted by an SSP regarding a viral social media video depicting the alleged torture and extortion of a citizen near Clock Tower.
On Wednesday, the judge reviewed the inquiry report presented by the SSP Investigation District South, which substantiated that the involved police officials exceeded their authority and subjected the citizen to unwarranted torture.
