PAC holds Shah Hamdan Conference

The Punjab Arts Council (PAC) in collaboration with International Shah Hamdan Association organised the “Hazrat Shah Hamdan Conference” to mark Shah Hamdan’s 728th birth anniversary.
Distinguished scholar and chairman of the International Shah Hamdan Association, Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi presided over the conference. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Hazrat Shah Hamdan was the biggest link between Pakistan and Kashmir.
The death anniversary of Hazrat Shah Hamdan should be celebrated officially in all the cities of Pakistan, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan on 6th Zil-Hajj and special events should be organised in his honour.
On the occasion, Allama Syed Mohsin Ali Hamdani demanded that 100 of Hazrat Shah Hamdan’s acclaimed works be translated into Urdu and sent to all universities, colleges and educational institutions in the country.
Prominent historian, Dr Riaz Ahmed said that “Hazrat Shah Hamdan’s rare work ‘Zakhirat-ul-Maluk’ serves as a guideline for government officials and political leaders, and it should be republished.”
Allama Dr Hussain Ahmad Hamdani shared that he had collected 170 books of his books on his travels around the world.
The works of Hazrat Shah Hamdan and other antiquities related to Sufism are available in Islamabad.
