SC sets rules for court reporters
The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday issued guidelines for newsmen covering the court proceedings.
An apex court spokesperson emphasized that no media personnel would be permitted to record video clips, conduct interviews, or produce YouTube programs inside the court building.
Entry for reporters will only be granted following thorough security checks, frisking, and examination of bags/purses by police personnel. Additionally, it has been explicitly stated that no cell phones will be allowed inside the courtrooms.

In situations involving crucial case hearings, where limited space and heightened security are paramount, exclusive entry will be granted to a select number of journalists representing various media houses.
The spokesperson clarified that only one representative from each media house would be allowed entry for direct court coverage. To accommodate additional journalists, alternative courtrooms will be designated, allowing them to observe the proceedings. APP
