Teaching mandarin: Private schools feel left out

The students are already learning four languages, English, Urdu, Arabic and Sindhi.

KARACHI:
A representative of the All Private Schools Management Association, Syed Khalid Shah, reacted to the government’s announcement to explore teaching Mandarin across Sindh by saying that they should have been consulted. The Sindh government should have taken educational experts and institutions into confidence before taking such a big decision, he said. The students are already learning four languages, English, Urdu, Arabic and Sindhi and learning Mandarin as well will prove to be difficult for them. Shah appealed to the chief minister and education minister to consider their suggestions.
