ECP takes notice of PPP candidate’s threatening speech
The Election Commission has taken notice of the threatening speech by Pakistan Peoples Party leader Ali Hasan Hangoro from Sanghar and summoned him for explanation on January 9 (today).
Joint Election Commissioner Sindh Asghar Syal had directed the district monitoring team to take appropriate action on the threatening message in a video that went viral on social media.

Sanghar District Monitoring Officer Akhtar Ali has issued a notice to Hanguro, the PPP candidate from PS-114, who had threatened voters and party workers at a corner meeting in Sanghar. This kind of threatening speech can create law and order situation and it is a violation of the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission under Paras No.10 and 42. Hunguro has been ordered to explain about the message otherwise action would be taken against him under Section 234 of the Election Act, 2017.
It may be noted that Ali Hasan Hanguro had told the workers and voters in a meeting to make the PPP candidate successful, otherwise they will be held accountable on February 9.
