CM instructs MD of WASA to devise sustainable solution for water drainage

LAHORE:

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered the Lahore deputy commissioner to remove illegal construction around the Shalimar Garden.

He also instructed the MD of WASA to devise a sustainable solution for water drainage along the boundary wall of the garden.

While visiting the Jallo Park and Botanical Garden, the caretaker CM expressed dissatisfaction over the poor condition of the park and its roads.

He ordered the immediate transfer of the park’s management from the forest department to the PHA, emphasising the need for improvements.

Later, he inaugurated the CTD Training School and praised the department’s role in suppressing terrorism.

He said the government would provide the latest weapons and technology to enhance the operational and intelligence capabilities of the Punjab CTD Punjab. He also shared plans for the construction of 313 houses for police.
