1,500 acres at Pak Steel Mills allocated for industrial park

CM asserts that industrial parks open new avenues for prosperity and upliftment

KARACHI:

Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar, and Federal Minister for Commerce, Industries and Board of Investment, Gohar Ejaz Khan, convened at CM House to discuss the imperative need for additional Industrial parks in Karachi.

Emphasising that industrialisation is pivotal for economic development and job creation, the chief minister asserted that the industrial parks open new avenues for prosperity and upliftment.

The federal minister apprised the CM that 1500 acres of land at Pakistan Steel Mills had been allocated for an Industrial park, with its development entrusted to Chinese authorities under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He further stated that the federal government has formulated a plan to transfer it to Chinese authorities for the establishment of their industrial units.
