Three get death penalty in separate murder cases
District and sessions courts in Rawalpindi have sentenced three persons to death in separate murder cases.
In the first case, the court ruled that the accused, Aqeel Kamal, shall be hanged until death for the murder of his father and brother over a petty dispute.
Following the completion of the trial, the court handed down dual death sentences to Aqeel Kamal, along with a fine of Rs0.5 million.

In a parallel case, Rawat police filed a murder case against Mudassir Siddique this year, based on the complaint of the deceased's brother. After concluding the trial, the court sentenced Mudassir Siddique to death and ordered him to pay Rs0.3 million as compensation to the deceased's family.
Similarly, Gujar Khan police registered a murder case against Muhammad Asad this year, following the complaint of the deceased's father.
The allegation was that Asad shot and killed Muhammad Asim. After completing the trial, the court sentenced Asad to life imprisonment and ordered him to pay Rs0.3 million as compensation to the victim's relatives.
