Two unidentified armed men barged into house, opened fire at them

HARIPUR:

The bodies of a couple were found in a room of their house in the Mohri Pir Bakhsh aera within the limits of Kot Najibullah police station on Tuesday.

According to police sources, two unidentified armed men barged into the house of 27-year-old Jahangir and 30-year-old Safida, opened fire at them and escaped after committing the crime. The couple died on the spot, they added.

The police said that the victims were found dead in a pool of blood at their house late Monday night. According to initial investigation the couple tied the knot against their families’ consent a while ago, said the police, adding that they suspected that the ex-husband of the deceased woman killed both of them, but more facts will be revealed only after a complete police investigation.

After receiving the information about the incident, the bodies were shifted to Haripur Trauma Centre for completing medico-legal formalities. Later, the bodies were handed over to their families.
