At least 17 people died, whereas 1,310 were injured in 1,209 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Of the injured, 563 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 747 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams.
The majority of RTCs, 75 percent, involved motorbikes. Further analysis showed that 610 drivers, 49 underage drivers, 165 pedestrians and 561 passengers were among the victims of RTCs.
The statistics show that 259 RTCs were reported in Lahore with 249 victims, placing the Provincial Capital at the top of the list. Faisalabad followed behind with 109 RTCs and 118 victims and Multan at third with 84 RTCs and 91 victims.
The details further reveal that 1,327 victims were affected by RTCs, including 1,086 males and 241 females, while the age group of the victims shows that 247 were under 18 years of age, 651 were between 18 and 40 years old and the remaining 423 victims were reportedly above 40 years of age.

According to the data, 974 motorbikes, 77 auto-rickshaws, 116 cars, 52 vans, 16 passenger buses, 47 trucks and 121 other types of auto vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in the aforementioned RTCs.
Meanwhile at least 15 people were injured after a staff bus fell into a drain near Mangamandi on Wednesday.
The incident was reported near Raiwind Road, when a bus carrying staff to factory lost control and fell into Rohi Nullah. At least 15 passengers were injured in the accident. Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot on information and shifted five of the victims to Rural health Center (RHC) Mangamandi, while the other 10 victims were provided first aid on the spot.
In another incident reported near Langar Phatak Defence Road, at least five people were injured in a collision between a rickshaw and a bus. Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot upon information and shifted three victims to Lahore Children Hospital.
