Relief work: More concern for Sindh flood victims

PML-N president had advised CM Sharif to ensure the provision of daily use items to families in the affected area.

LAHORE:
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has told officials and workers of his Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz party to do all they can to help those stranded by heavy rains in Sindh. Several districts in lower Sindh have been flooded after heavy monsoon rains this season. A press release said that the PML-N president had advised Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to ensure the provision of daily use items to families in the affected area. “Natural calamities are a test of nations and this situation demands us to play our due role as human beings,” the press release quoted Nawaz Sharif as saying. The chief minister has issued directions for the setting up of three temporary hospitals in the flooded areas of Sindh where medicine and treatment will be free of cost, said the press release.
