The enchanting series of “Alhamra Melodies” continued its musical journey at the Alhamra Arts Council Lahore.

Young talents, including Shiza Jahan, BA Shakir, Muskan Nowshahi, and Babar Fateh Ali Khan, graced the stage, receiving resounding applause from the enthusiastic audience.

Each performance was hailed as a special gift by the participants, showcasing the rich musical culture nurtured by Alhamra.

In a lively event at the Lahore Arts Council Alhamra, the Hajj draw ceremony took place, bringing excitement and anticipation. Alhamra Executive Director Tariq Mehmood Chaudhry, actively participated in the draw, joined by officers and employees of Alhamra. The ceremony added a festive touch to the cultural calendar.

The Punjab Arts Council officially announced the launch of the inaugural Punjab Art and Culture Expo, scheduled to kick off on December 29 at the Cultural Complex Lahore.

Punjab Arts Council Executive Director Syed Bilal Haider shared insights highlighting the diverse cultural landscape of Punjab.

The expo aims to showcase traditional dishes, native games, folk stories, and the timeless wisdom of Sufi poetry.

Singer Waris Baig's son, Ammar Baig, unveiled his latest song, "Jogya," in a star-studded launch attended by renowned figures from the showbiz industry, including Waris Baig himself.

Expressing pride in his son's achievements, Waris Baig acknowledged the global recognition Ammar is bringing to Pakistan through his musical journey.

The All Pakistan Music Conference, with the support of the Lahore Arts Council, organised a mesmerising music concert featuring Ustad Fateh Ali Khan Hyderabadi and Izzat Fateh Ali Khan.

The virtuoso performances captivated the audience, showcasing the timeless allure of classical music.

Punjabi Complex hosted a ceremony commemorating the 40th anniversary of the legendary Waheed Murad, attracting eminent personalities from the film industry.

The event, graced by Chairman Pakistan Film Producers Association Chaudhry Zulfikar Ali, saw senior actors and singers, including Shiza Jaha, paying tribute to Waheed Murad through soulful renditions.

The world of music mourned the loss of two maestros, Ustad Hussain Bakhsh Gulu and Ustad Badrul Zaman.

Ustad Hussain Bakhsh, a virtuoso in classical and ghazal singing, left an indelible mark on the global stage.

His contributions were honoured with the Presidential Medal for Good Performance in 2010.

Alhamra Arts Council announced a condolence meeting in his memory.

Ustad Badrul Zaman, suffering from a prolonged heart ailment, bid farewell, leaving a legacy of remarkable singing that resonated worldwide.

His funeral prayer, attended by a multitude of citizens and artists, marked the end of an era in the realm of classical music.
