Elderly man robbed of $4,000

An elderly citizen Aqeeluddin, had just drawn local currency equivalent to the $4,000, sent by his son in Saudi Arabia, from a bank when heartless robbers snatched the cash and fled.

The police have filed a robbery case against unidentified suspects and initiated an investigation. The incident took place in Block 13/C Gulshan Iqbal, falling under the jurisdiction of Aziz Bhatti Police Station.

Aqeel told the police that he was going home after withdrawing over Rs1.1 million received against the $4,000 sent by his from a bank, when two armed suspects on a motorcycle forcibly snatched the cash and swiftly escaped.
