Rapist awarded 14-year sentence

Accused after raping a 15-year-old student, filmed, uploaded video on social media

MUZAFFARGARH:

A man who raped a student last year in Alipur was sentenced to 14 years in prison by the session court on Friday.

The accused Amir and his had raped a 15 year-old student at a local school. Police said the accused had filmed a video of the incident and it went viral after being uploaded on social media. A case was registered with Alipur city police station on the complaint of the victim's father.

As police started the investigation, Amir’s brother fled abroad while police arrested Amir. The challan was put up in session court after filing the FIR.
