Families agree to marry ‘raped girl with rapist’

Reconciliation follows miscarriage caused in attack by suspect’s father

LAHORE:

The father of a suspected rapist caused miscarriage of the victim in Kahna by kicking her. However the families agreed to marry the suspected molester and the victim.

The teenage boy had allegedly raped his young cousin for six months after blackmailing her using a private video. The father of the victim told reporters that his wife worked as a maid and his teenage daughter was often alone. The suspect Hasnain, her maternal cousin, visited their home in the absence of the couple.

One day, he raped the girl and also filmed the offence. Using it, he kept raping her for six months causing her pregnancy, the father of the victim stated. The family was unaware of the matter until the medical condition of the victim deteriorated.

Her medical examination confirmed that she was pregnant. When the parents enquired, their daughter revealed her ordeal.

The victim's father took her and other relatives to the father of the suspected rapist, Riasat. However, he hurled abuses at the girl and also kicked her in the stomach.

Her condition deteriorated because of the attack and she was taken to a hospital, where she suffered miscarriage.
