PTI promises political resurgence ahead
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has declared nationwide public rallies, with events scheduled for Peshawar on December 15 and Wazirabad on December 22. A workers’ convention in Peshawar faced mismanagement, despite district administration permissions with conditions, leading to chaos among unruly party supporters.
During the convention, Vice Chairman Sher Afzal Advocate announced upcoming rallies in Peshawar, Wazirabad, and Jhang on December 15, 22, and 24, respectively. Addressing concerns about attempts to sideline Imran Khan, he asserted that PTI was resilient and ready for a comeback.
Marwat emphasized people’s commitment to cleansing politics and vowed to demonstrate it in the upcoming general elections.

Criticizing the legal treatment of political figures, he highlighted disparities in dealing with PTI and Nawaz Sharif, accusing courts of favoritism.
“Courts in this country are providing relief to absconders. As a result Nawaz Sharif is now free,” he said, adding that the PML-N leader’s court cases are heard on a daily basis but it was a totally different story for Imran Khan.
“There is a step-motherly attitude with the PTI and those who are ignoring the law are now feeling threatened,” he added.
Taking a jab at JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman, Marwat suggested that PTI’s growing influence worried other parties.
“Fazl said that there would be snowfall in February so elections could not be conducted on time. He is afraid of PTI after watching our workers’ convention,” he maintained.

He acknowledged past mistakes in appointing leaders like Pervez Khattak and Mahmood Khan but assured a thorough cleaning of the party from such influences in the future.
Directing a challenge towards Khattak, Marwat asserted that PTI would rectify past errors and eliminate obstacles to its political aspirations. He dismissed assumptions that figures like Tareen, Khattak, and Mahmood Khan could replace Imran Khan, declaring their inadequacy in a PTI rally.
