Charitable hospitals yet to submit audit reports
Charitable public hospitals in Sindh have failed to submit audit reports of their healthcare facilities despite repeated requests from the caretaker health minister.
The Sindh Health Department confirms that despite sending two letters in over three months, no charitable healthcare institution has provided the required report. The primary objective behind auditing these hospitals is to gather data on hospital budgets and daily expenses.

According to the sources, Sindh’s Caretaker Health Minister, Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz, has requested audit reports from various charitable hospitals operating in Sindh. The first letter was dispatched on August 23, followed by a second letter on November 10 this year.
These hospitals were requested to furnish reports for the past three financial years. The objective was to acquire expenditure details relating to the grants received from the Government of Sindh.
