Neglected DI Khan school risks collapse
The Government Primary School for Girls in Chari Bohar village, Dera Ismail Khan district, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, remains in a dilapidated state after suffering severe damage in the 2022 floods.
Despite repeated pleas from local residents, the education department has yet to address the urgent need for reconstruction.
Concerned community members told The Express Tribune that the building is on the verge of collapse, posing a significant risk.

The absence of repairs or reconstruction, even a year after the floods, raises serious safety concerns. This school is the sole primary education facility for girls in the entire locality.
Residents fear an imminent disaster if the school building continues to deteriorate without intervention.
The current state forces students to endure harsh weather conditions, sitting outside under the open sky during scorching summers and freezing winters. With no alternative primary school for girls in the area, families are compelled to send their daughters to this compromised educational facility.
