Zara Noor Abbas, Asad Siddiqui announce pregnancy

'Badshah Begum' actor took to Instagram to share news with fans

Pakistani celebrity couple Zara Noor Abbas and Asad Siddiqui have announced the joyous news of the couple’s second pregnancy, one year after experiencing the loss of their first child. Zara took to her official Instagram account to share the delightful update with her fans through a candid snapshot of the couple.

In the photograph captured in their garden, the Badshah Begum actor is sporting a smile, clad in a white silk dress with sunglasses and a doughnut in hand. Tending to plants behind Zara, the Sinf-e-Aahan actor appears oblivious to the camera.

Zara accompanied the image with the caption "Round 2 - Inshallah," accompanied by three emojis of an evil eye, an infant and a family of three. This announcement has sparked excitement and warm wishes from fans and other showbiz celebrities, anticipating the couple's journey into parenthood once again.

The couple tied the knot in 2017, a leap of faith in one another after each of them experienced an unsuccessful marriage that concluded in divorce. The couple has since been in a loving, supportive relationship and keep sharing updates about their travel, life, family and more on social media.

In 2021, Zara was expecting a son that the pair lost in a tragic miscarriage six months into her pregnancy. Recounting the harrowing ordeal of loss, Asad expressed, “It wasn’t just a miscarriage. It was a [stillbrith]. She delivered a five to six-month-old baby that I buried myself. It was a hard time we had to go through. His name was Aurangzeb.”

The Aye Musht-e-Khaak actor added how the trauma took a toll on Zara, inducing frequent breakdowns. “It [miscarriage] affects men, but it’s stronger for women because they have a life inside them. They undergo bodily and hormonal changes. They have a connection that’s already been established,” Asad elaborated.

In a podcast with host Frieha Altaf, Zara delved into how the miscarriage triggered a spiral of guilt and self-blame. “I did [blame myself] a point. I thought maybe I didn’t eat right, maybe I didn’t make myself strong enough, maybe I should have lost more weight before conceiving, become thinner, maybe I should have had an intake of vitamins, maybe I should’ve taken folic acid,” she shared the thoughts that plagued her in the aftermath of the tragedy.

Ultimately, the actor insisted, it was divine will and brought the couple closer to each other and God. Zara offered, “But all of that is a ‘maybe’. God gives a child to even those who aren’t physically stable. He gives to those He wants to give to and takes from those He wants to take from.”
